Busy Noses sponsors one of the prizes in The Big Walk 2022
Busy Noses is a sponsor of one of this year’s Canine Arthritis Management Big Walk prizes. The prize consists of selection of treat puzzles, which are safe to use for dogs with arthritis and still provide mental stimulation.
Older dogs, disabled dogs, sick ones and these with special needs also need enrichment, maybe even more than healthy dogs. Solving problems increases self-confidence in dogs and consequently helps them feel better psychologically. 15-20 minutes of snuffling for treats/food is an equivalent of an hour long walk. Many older/sick/disabled dogs can’t take such long walks anymore and treat puzzles can really help them fulfill their canine need for sniffing.
Most of the puzzles I make can be used by special need dogs,I also have some designs dedicated especially to disabled dogs, like 3D mats for blind dogs (though they can be used by healthy dogs and they are lots of fun!).
